Tiger and Lilies – Free Printable Tiger Coloring Page

Faber-Castell’s white Polychromos colored pencil isn’t very popular among artists and colorists because it is very translucent. But when I want to leave certain spots white or lighter, then it is my go-to pencil! I normally use a white gel pen or acrylic paint to draw the stars at the end. This time I decided to use colored pencils. You just have to color the stars first with the white pencil (use a heavy hand!) and then color your background carefully.

I noticed that even when I was a bit sloppy and accidentally colored over the stars a little, they still kept that white color well. You also get that pretty “glow” effect around the stars because you try to avoid coloring over them.

And if all that fails, there is still the white gel pen and acrylic paint to save the day!

So if you are struggling with keeping parts of your coloring pages or drawings white and you own a white Polychromos pencil, then you might want to give it another chance.
