The spooky season is at our doorstep once again! I have created a collection of fun, cute, and spooky Halloween coloring pages featuring a witch, pumpkins, candies, and adorable ghosts. These free coloring pages are a great way to celebrate both autumn and Halloween. This blog post also has a few background suggestions and ideas for what you can do with your finished pages.

The downloadable PDF includes the following pages:

  • Coloring Page 1: The first coloring page features a cute witch girl who is wearing a witch hat, a cozy scarf, and skull earrings. There are autumn leaves and vines all around her. This coloring page will get you into the fall and Halloween spirit!
  • Coloring Page 2: Candles and a pumpkin that is filled with different candies. What would Halloween be without pumpkins and sweets?
  • Coloring Page 3: A cute ghost wearing a warm hat and a scarf sits on a pumpkin, waiting patiently for Halloween.
  • Coloring Page 4: This coloring page features a ghost, a bunch of different pumpkins, and a night sky.
  • Coloring Page 5: A sleepy ghost taking a nap in his bed. There are cute star and crescent moon decorations hanging from the ceiling.

Background ideas for Halloween coloring pages

Here are a few background ideas for you so you can get that spooky mood for your Halloween coloring pages:

  • Starry night sky: Color a blue gradient from a lighter blue to very dark blue. Add stars with a white gel pen, paint marker, or acrylic paint. Print the coloring pages on watercolor paper and use watercolors to get a nice texture!
  • Purple sky: Purple sky will give your coloring page an eerie and magical ambience. To make this background, color a gradient from light purple to very dark purple. If you want, you can add some stars and bats in the sky as well.
  • Sunset: I have noticed that evening skies tend to be really beautiful during autumn. Color a gorgeous sunset by making a gradient from yellow to orange and from orange to red.
  • Grey cloudy sky: Perfect for Halloween coloring pages featuring a castle or a graveyard. You can add a crescent moon or a full moon in the sky to bring some light to the scene.
  • Simple: Use fall and Halloween colors and color a simple orange, yellow, purple, brown, or black background.
